Community Involvement
Giving back is a basic part of who I am. I love serving in many ways... through school organizations, church and youth group projects, community involvement, and even leading service projects through my own non-profit. I'm very proud of the work I've done through my charity, The Bark "Hound"ation, which I started at age 16. Through this foundation I have been able to partner with several non-profit rescues and organizations as both a volunteer and advocate for animal rescue and adoption.
I have had the opportunity to lead a community service activity for the Perham Princess Program, teaching young girls about volunteerism as they made hand-made dog ropes out of old t-shirts for the Humane Society.
I organized a Calendar for a Cause fund-raiser to earn $542 to donate to Patriot Assistance Dogs, a non-profit that trains rescue dogs to become service dogs for Veterans in need.
I make and sell home-made organic dog treats to raise money for animal rescues including Oak Island Animal Rescue, a non-profit animal rescue in North Carolina following a devastating hurricane in September of 2018- Cookies for a Cause/Crisis in the Carolina's. Other community service I have been involved with include Feed My Starving Children, Knights of Columbus, St. Henry's Youth Breakfasts, Childfund International, High 5 for Foster Care, Relay for Life, Care Packages for Soldiers, Golf Course Clean up, Ditch Clean ups, Girl Scouts, Creating Generation Healthy, Trick or Canning, Little Sprouts Garden Gang, Humane Society of the Lakes, Wadena Humane Society, Otter Tail County Humane Society, Happy Tails Rescue, Oak Island Animal Rescue, Marshmellow foundation, Patriot Assistance Dogs, TIP, The Bridge Food Shelf, Visiting Nursing Homes, Perham Princess Program, Miss Perham Scholarship Organization, PHS Interact, Volunteer Coaching for Perham's Renowned Youth Development, Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital, Great Beginnings Child Care, KLN packaging events, Sorting kids books in Dallas, Pet Food and Supply Drive.
